Awning & Canopy Cleaning
Have you ever gone out on a balmy summer evening to a restaurant and sat on the deck? Many restaurants and even residential homes have either retractable or non-retractable awnings. Awnings prevent dirt, leaves, mold, and even rain from falling upon you. However, these biological agents that fall on the awning discolor it, adhere to its surface, and cause the growths to start eating into the surface! The Caltex System removes these growths, cleans the surface, and restores it to a “like new” appearance. A regular maintenance schedule is a plus to maintain these awnings in their like new state. Often in commercial facilities, awnings and decks go together.

Deck Cleaning and Sealing Services
Have you ever seen a home for sale that looked absolutely beautiful BUT had an ugly discolored deck attached? Have you ever gone to a party in the summer and had to sit on a deck covered with greenish growths?
In the past decade, many commercial establishments and homes have built decks for their employees/guests to to lunch on and to create a more friendly work place. Greater emphasis has been placed on quality of life issues as people work longer and harder hours. The maintenance of decks makes for a more professional, clean and comfortable atmosphere.
These are reasons both homeowners and businesses make a point to get their decks cleaned regularly.
Decks become discolored over time due to exposure to sun [UV radiation], rain, snow, and sleet. because decks are comprised of organic matters [often cedar or pine], insects and biological organisms such as lichen, mold, and mildew begin to devour them. Over time the wood begins to rot and the structural integrity of the deck may become compromised.
Many home owners take pride in a bright and beautiful deck and invest in a regular maintenance program. This helps to slow the process of degradation and to lengthen the lifespan of the original investment in the deck. The Caltex System brightens decks to a light new honey toned state in one step. labor and scrubbing is minimized, and the System does the work.

Pressure Washing Services
Building Cleaning Exterior
Artios Painting a approved contractor with this areas exclusive territory rights to the Caltex System is an opportunity to maintain the attractiveness of buildings through regularly scheduled cleanings.
Most buildings have exteriors consisting of brick, vinyl siding, aluminum siding, stone, masonry, or cedar. Up to now, high pressure washing with bleaching agents and acid cleaning were the only method to clean these surfaces. Besides being harmful to the environment, these products actually damage the surface. Vinyl becomes chalky with bleach. High pressure acid cleaning damages the brick by pitting it, and it can burn the brick, turning it to an orange color.
The Caltex LVLP environmentally safe system does solve all these problems and makes exterior surfaces look like new. In one step, we can clean and restore all the above surfaces by removing the unsightly mold, mildew, dirt, chalkiness, pollution, and environmental staining. Over the past 2 decades, we have developed great expertise on large and small scale restoration projects. Caltex International Ltd. invented, improved, and implemented the LVLP technology 17 years ago. With millions of jobs having been done since then, this Low Volume Low Pressure technology uses organic, non-toxic, biodegradable, USDA approved, and environmentally safe products manufactured by Caltex.
House washing
Mike Baker of Artios Painting suggests washing a house by hand, and pre-spraying with Calbrite [a mold inhibitor]. Then using a power washer to rinse. Pointing the wand down will keep the water from going under the siding, if some water does gets under the siding it should dry out quickly, that’s why they hang it loose.
My power washer puts out 4 1/2 to 5 gallons a minuet, with 1000 to 4000 psi, a garden hose can put out up to 8 gallons a minute, and up to 600 psi which is enough to soak under the siding which makes the under side more soaked, also you spend more time in one spot cleaning which soaks the under siding more.
Power washing only, with out scrubbing is like washing a car it looks good when its wet but when its dry you can see stripes and misses with chalk remaining, and uneven cleaning.
To remove rust use a half lemon and salt, scrub the rust and rinse.
